Bruce Cunningham was the voice of the Baltimore Ravens on game-day for 20 years, but as he so eloquently put it, “twenty years feels like enough” for him. Cunningham announced his retirement as the Ravens’ public address announcer on Tuesday morning. Cunningham took over the role for what was a the time, a fledgling franchise, in 1999. The rest is history, and Cunningham’s voice became a staple in Baltimore’s game-day experience for two decades. Cunningham was along for the ride in both of Baltimore’s Super Bowl seasons, and shared some of the most memorable Baltimore sports moments with tens of thousands of fans every week.
Cunningham has been a great part of the Ravens organization, and his voice will be remembered fondly by the grateful Baltimore fans he served. Congratulations to Bruce Cunningham on his retirement.
