The Baltimore Ravens waived rookie undrafted punter, Sean Smith on Friday, the Ravens announced via the team’s social media sites. Smith, the former punter for the University of Dayton, was signed on Monday after the Ravens traded Kaare Vedvik for a fifth-round pick last weekend. In Smith’s single preseason game as a Baltimore Raven, he punted three times for a total of 145 yards, an average of 48.3 yards per punt.
The reason the Ravens cut Smith is not clear. His departure opens up a roster spot which will likely be filled soon.
