The game is starting tonight at 7:00 PM EDT, so grab some snacks and get ready for this preseason week three matchup!
7:10 PM EDT: Kickoff in Baltimore! The Ravens elect to kick first, and the defense makes a quick three and out. Bills punt to Michael Campanaro who gets down to the 30-yard line.
7:24 PM EDT: So far the Ravens defense has stopped the Bills offense very quickly on both Drives. Michael Campanaro got the Ravens to the 47-yard line to start their drive on a punt return. Like what I see by the defense so far, but would like to see the offense actually play well with Mallet.
7:29 PM EDT: The Ravens started on the Bills 47-yard line, however, were only able to come up with a field goal. Running back Taquan Mizzell had a nice 16-yard reception, but the drive stalled out. Baltimore settled for a Justin Tucker 40 yard field goal to put the Ravens up 3-0. Baltimore really needs to get something going on offense.
7:39 PM EDT: The Ravens defense again looked strong. Aside from a missed tackle by safety Eric Weddle leading to a Charles Clay first down, the defense was dominant. CJ Mosely almost came away with an interception, but the ball hit the ground as he was trying to catch it. The Bills punted the ball away, Ravens will take over.
7:48 PM EDT: At the end of the first quarter, the Ravens lead it 3-0. Offense currently has the ball, and are moving down the field. Kicker Justin Tucker is currently in concussion protocol after making a tackle on a kickoff. We will keep you updated on that injury information.
7:56 PM EDT: The Ravens defense continues to shut down the Bills offense. Nathan Peterman was pressured hard by Brent Urban. He tripped and in the process of falling fumbled the ball. Peterman did recover his own fumble, but the Ravens defense showed their strength. Michael Campanaro then took a punt return for 17 yards into Bills territory. Josh Woodrum is now coming in at quarterback to play with the starters.
8:04 PM EDT: Woodrum had a bad exchange with center Ryan Jensen. Snap went way behind him and he threw the ball away and got called for intentional grounding. Defense picked up the slack forcing a Bills punt even though they started inside Ravens territory. The punt was downed at the 2 and Woodrum and the offense is set to come back on the field.
8:26 PM EDT: For some reason, the Ravens can’t figure out a way to stop getting called for penalties. This was an issue last week too, especially with the offensive line. It just seems like the flags are piling on at the worst times. Baltimore just forced a punt but Za’Darius Smith ran into the punter, giving the Bills a first down. So far bad showing by the offense. Still 3 points only.
8:40 PM EDT: The drive for the Bills would have been over if Za’Darius Smith had not bumped into the punter. However because of that penalty the Bills were able to get down the field after a series of productive plays and counterproductive penalties by the Ravens. Mike Tolbert finished off the drive with a one yard run from the goal line for a touchdown. The Bills now lead it 7-3 at the half.
8:53 PM EDT: The second half is now starting. Chris Moore took the kick return to the 15-yard line.
8:58 PM EDT: The Ravens had another unsuccessful offensive drive. Woodrum hasn’t looked as great as he has been the last two games. Hopefully he can get into a grove soon. Baltimore punted and Buffalo will start at the 8 yard line.
9:24 PM EDT: Jaylen Hill, the rookie undrafted cornerback from Jacksonville State, picked off T.J. Yate’s pass. Probably sealed the deal for him being on the final 53 man roster. Josh Woodrum and the offense came right out and threw a pass to Taquan Mizzell for 15 yards and a touchdown. The Ravens now lead it 10-7. All three of the players who are on the cusp of making the roster, originally thought to have no chance, had a part to play on that touchdown.
9:29 PM EDT: At the end of the third quarter, the Ravens lead it 10-7.
9:59 PM EDT: The Ravens kicked a Kenny Allen field goal earlier to make it 13-7. The Ravens defense started to bend as the Bills offense got into the red zone. However, Patrick Onwuasor both forced and recovered a fumble to get the ball back. Ravens will likely win it 13-7, the same score as last season’s week 1 victory against the Bills.
10:13 PM EDT: Unfortunately the score did not end up as the same as last year. The Ravens took an intentional safety to give themselves better field position to punt. The final score was 13-9. The Baltimore Feather’s player of the game is Jaylen Hill, who picked off a pass tonight. The undrafted cornerback out of Jacksonville State is looking to make the roster, and probably solidified his spot on it tonight. Baltimore now improves to 3-0 in the preseason.
