Today the Baltimore Ravens announced that they have made two changes to the Personnel Department. The Ravens have hired Kevin Weidl, and promoted Brandon Berning, as Ian Cunningham left the organization, to join the Philadelphia Eagles. Cunningham goes to the Eagles to become the team’s director of college scouting. Cunningham worked with the Ravens since 2008, when he joined as a personnel assistant. He later became the Southeast and Southwest Scout for the Ravens.
The Ravens are replacing Cunningham with Kevin Weidl. Weidl will be taking over the role as the Southeast and Southwest scout. Weidl was previously with ESPN as a draft analyst since 2007. Needless to say, he has a lot of experience on the subject which he is now employed for by the Ravens. The Ravens are also promoting Brandon Berning to become the Midwest and Southwest area scout. Berning joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2015 as a personnel assistant. He was previously a scout for the New York Giants in 2014. In his role as a personnel assistant, Berning was responsible for giving scouting reports on opponents and reviewing free agents that the team would be interested in.
