Hi everyone! Happy Easter, and welcome to this week’s edition of Ravens Weekly Roundup, where we take a look at and review all the Ravens news and updates that took place over this past week. If you missed any Ravens news, this is your one stop shop for all things Baltimore Ravens. Now, without further ado, lets get right into this week’s storylines and headlines for the Baltimore Ravens.
Monday April 10 – The NFL Releases the Ravens Preseason Schedule, Along with the Rest of the League (Article)
On Monday, at 5 PM EDT, the NFL released the preseason schedule for the entire league, including the matchups for the Baltimore Ravens. None of the games have slotted times yet, but two of the four games have set dates, the other two are listed as possible for multiple dates. On Thursday August 10, 2017 the Baltimore Ravens will play against the Washington Redskins in a home game at M&T Bank Stadium. The next week, Week 2, the Ravens will face off in an away game against the Miami Dolphins on either Friday August 18, or Saturday August 19. In Week 3, Baltimore will play a home game against the Buffalo Bills, either on Friday August 25, or Saturday August 26. Finally, in Week 4, the Ravens will face off against the New Orleans Saints in New Orleans on Thursday August 31.
Thursday April 13 – Former Raven Jerraud Powers Announces Retirement (Article)
On Thursday, former Ravens cornerback Jerraud Powers made the decision to hang up his cleats and retire. He made the announcement via his Instagram account, on an Instagram post. Powers signed with the Ravens in 2016 to be a stable veteran presence for a secondary that needed help. His presence helped the Ravens’ defense become a top performing defense in the NFL. Powers had a long, 8 year career, where he played for the Indianapolis Colts from 2009 to 2012, the Arizona Cardinals from 2013 to 2015, and the Baltimore Ravens in 2016.
Draft Prospects
This week, the Ravens will be hosting Western Michigan wide receiver Correy Davis, as they try to determine their top receivers in this year’s NFL Draft. We also took a look at Haason Reddick, and his potential fit on the Baltimore Ravens.
