Earlier today, reports started circulating that Pro Bowl center Jeremy Zuttah would be released by the Ravens. That was believed to be the case until moments ago when it was announced that the Ravens would be trading Zuttah to the 49ers. The Baltimore Ravens will be sending Jeremy Zuttah and a 6th round pick, #198 overall, in exchange for a sixth round pick from the San Francisco 49ers, #186 overall.
Zuttah was a good, but inconsistent center for the Ravens. Coming off of his arguably most inconsistent season yet, he surprisingly made the Pro Bowl roster after some linemen dropped out. Zuttah was formerly a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. He was selected in the third round by the Buccaneers in 2008, and was traded to the Ravens in 2014. He will now join former Raven Kyle Juszczyk in San Francisco. It will be interesting to see who the Ravens will have at center going in to next season, they may target some free agents, or find one in the draft.
