Free agency for the Ravens started with a bang with two major signings in safety Tony Jefferson and running back Danny Woodhead. According to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun, Tony Jefferson’s deal is reportedly worth $34 million, with a potential of $37 million, for 4 years. This also includes $19 million in guaranteed money. Needless to say, a big price tag for a big time player. Danny Woodhead’s deal is reported to be worth $8.8 million with $4.25 million in guaranteed money for 3 years.
It will be interesting of the Ravens go after any more free agents this offseason. It is reported that they are interested in former Cowboys cornerback Morris Claibourne, who they may be able to get for a decent price due to his injury history. These signings put the Ravens back up against the salary cap, and they may be making some more maneuvers to free up more space.
