The Ravens are set to sign former Charger RB Danny Woodhead. Woodhead, 32, has played for the Jets, Patriots, and Chargers in his career. His career stats total for 503 rushing attempts and 2,182 yards. Woodhead has had some injuries in the past however, but he is supposedly healthy for the time being.
The Ravens are bringing him in to the team when they already have two running backs that shared the back field last season, in Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon. Finding a spot for Woodhead may be difficult for the Ravens, but I imagine he was brought in to replace Kyle Juszczyk. Woodhead is a versatile back, as he can both run the ball and receive effectively. This was a great addition for the Ravens, and will be interesting to see where he fits in.
